"A.H.E.P.A." is the acronym for the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association, Inc. Founded in 1922 in Atlanta, GA to combat bigotry and racism, and to assist Greek-American immigrants to assimilate into America, the organization now has hundreds of chapters worldwide. AHEPA promotes the true values of Ancient Greece, which include: Hellenism, Education, Civic Responsibility, Individual Excellence & Philanthropy.

Danbury Chapter 90's roots pre-date the building of the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church. Members of the greater-Danbury community are eligible to join, regardless of their heritage or faith. Meetings are held monthly. For more information, visit www.AHEPA.org.
