Youth
Catechism School or Sunday School
One of the most important phases of our Church program is the religious instruction of our children beginning at five years of age. Teachers serve on a voluntary basis and are dedicated and devoted to serving our Church and our children. Nursery School is available for preschool children.

Greek School
Our Parish also operates an afternoon Greek School Program for members of our community. Classes are available for children and adults. For further information, please contact the Church office. We are very fortunate to have dedicated teachers who are working hard to form an interesting and creative language and cultural school.

Acolytes (Altar Servers) Readers
Serving in the Holy Altar is a privilege that we should not take for granted. To serve in the Altar as an Acolyte and/or Reader, you must be attending Catechism School. Make sure you are on the registration list. Service in the Altar begins at 9 years of age. If you are not presently on the Acolyte list which will be sent out in two weeks, please contact Fr. Peter. Remember, it is an honor to serve in God's Holy Altar with the Angels and Saints who surround the Throne of God. Parents, please make sure your Acolyte is in Church at the beginning of Divine Liturgy.
GOYA
The Assumption GOYA plays an important role in our Parish. We serve meals at our community luncheons, raise funds to donate to worthwhile charities and to support beautification of our Church, and participate in regional GOYA events. We participate in religious and recreational activities, and encourage all youth in grades 7 through 12 to join us. Look for monthly bulletins posted downstairs. Come and be a part of it all. Meetings are usually held on the first Sunday of every month.

Greek Festival Dance Group
Part of our program involves the Dance Group - our young people learning traditional folk dances of Greece. These Greek Dance groups provide entertainment at our Greek Festivals and at other affairs. We encourage all young people, age 6 and older to join.

J.O.Y.
Junior Orthodox Youth: Grades 3 through 6. All members of our Church who fall in this age group are automatically members – whether they sign up or not. Our goal is to provide a forum where children can form bonds of friendship outside the catechism classroom.
