Philoptochos
The word "philoptochos"
means "friends of the poor" and is derived from the Greek words: philos =
friend; and ptochos = poor. The Philoptochos is the right arm of the Parish in
all matters of charity, fellowship, and support of Church programs.
We encourage all women of the Parish to join the Philoptochos, giving themselves
the opportunity to be involved in one of the most important ministries of our
Church. Through each individual's participation and commitment, the Philoptochos
Society can better provide for the needs of our Parish.
